Panasonic discontinues the Technics SL-1200's

It's a sad day in DJ heaven, but the inevitable has arrived due to the advancement of technology.  Panasonic has discontinued the world famous Technics SL-1200's which was the best professional turntable widely used by DJ's all over the world.  With sales being down by 95%, the enhancement of (mp3) technology, the influx of ipods, DJ software, and cheaper computer-based turntables the pricier $900 per turntable has lost its place as the standard turntable amongst DJ's.  Hopefully, Panasonic will develop a turntable that's usb compatible and price compared with its competitors (Numark, Vestax, and Stanton).  But until then we can only hope that Panasonic will provide the same SL-1200 turntable feel that can play mp3's and is cheaper in price.
